This page includes Pokémon pin information on Korea Pop-Up Stores, online stores releases and exclusive events. Starting 2023, Pokémon began to promote more in Korea. They periodically set up pop-up stores and release exclusive Korea pins at each event. To read up on more background information of each pin, please click on the detailed post link. Enjoy! 

Korea Pop Up Stores

1. Korea The Hyundai Seoul Pop Up Store (2020/2021)

From October 1st to 7th, 2021, Pokémon opened a Pop Up Store in The Hyundai, Seoul. People who spend 30,000 won will receive a random pin featuring Snorlax, Ditto, Wobbuffet, Jigglypuff or Eevee. These pins were previously released by Pokémon Store Korea around May 14th, 2020. The online release also included Pikachu which weren’t part of the Pop-Up Store gifts.

2. Korea Jeju Island Pop Up Store (2023)

From July 28th to August 27th, 2023, Pokémon opened a Pop Up store in Jeju Island, Korea. The theme of the store features Jeju Island’s specialty — Hallabong Tangerines and Dol Hareubang (rock statues). The pin design is Pikachu dressed up as a tangerine and it is a spinning pin. 3. Korea Winter Days Seoul/Busan Pop Up Store (2023)

From November 3rd to 30th, 2023. Pokémon opened 5 Pop Up store in Seoul and Busan, Korea. The theme of the store is “Winter Days”. There are 8 sets of pins each includes 2 pins that are connected by a chain (read detailed blog post). They also released a winter countdown calendar that includes 4 unique pins (read detailed blog post). All the items are also sold on Korea Pokémon Center online store.

4. Korea Enjoy Pokémon Town Pop Up Store (2024)

From April 26th to May 19th, 2024, Pokémon opened 3 Pop Up stores in Seoul, Busan and Suwon, Korea. The theme of the store is “Enjoy Pokémon Town”. A number of different types of pins were released including lottery pins and specific store exclusive pins. (read detailed post). The lottery pins were also sold on Korea Pokémon Center online store.

5. Korea Pokémon Pop Up Store in Starfield Suwon (2024)

From September 23rd to October 10th, 2024, Pokémon opened a Pop Up stores in Starfield Suwon, Korea. Two new exclusive pins featuring Pikachu were released. The pins are special as they each have 3 tassels attached (read detailed post).

6. Korea Pokémon Capsule Toy Street Pop Up Store (2024)

From December 13th, 2024 to January 25th, 2025, Pokémon opened a pop-up stores in Jamsil, Korea. The theme of this pop-up store is “Capsule Toy Street”. A mini pin badge collection was released. The collection included 10 pins and each pin is about 1cm x 1.5cm. The pins could be purchased from a gachapon machine and are given out randomly (read detailed post).

Korea PC Online Store

1. Mimikyu Doodle Series Pin (2018)

On March 9th, 2018, Pokémon Store Korea released an original series “Mimikyu Doodle”. Within the series, there’s a pin featuring Mimikyu with a doodle-style backboard. The pin can be purchased from their online store. (Korean name: 포켓몬 스토어 오리지널 따라큐 낙서 시리즈)

2. Substitute Pokémon Sliding Pin (2024)

Around April and May 2024, Pokémon Store Korea released a Substitute Pokémon sliding pin on their online store (read detailed post).

Other Korea Releases

1. Pocket Monsters Store Display Pins (1999)

This Pocket Monster Store Display Pin is most likely released in 1999. The set consists of 20 Pokémon pins individually packed in a plastic box.

2. Movie -- Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You Promo Pin (2017)

The movie “Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You” was released on December 21st, 2017 in Korea. To celebrate the release of the movie, Pokémon Store Korea released a special movie ticket combo that included an original movie promo pin featuring Pikachu wearing Ash’s hat. 3. Movie -- The Rise of Darkrai Promo Pin (2018)

The movie “The Rise of Darkrai” was released on June 6th, 2018 in Korea. To celebrate the release of the movie, there were few special movie ticket combos released. One of the combo included an original movie promo pin featuring Darkrai and costs 14,000 won. This movie originally premiered in 2007 in Japan and in 2018 was finally released in Korea. 4. Game -- E-mart Scarlet & Violet Promo Pin (2022)

In 2022, to promote the release of Pokémon: Scarlet & Violet, Korea E-mart gave out a promo pin for anyone that purchases the game from November 18th to 30th. (Click to see all Game Release Pins)

5. Pokémon x CGV Cinema (2022-2024)

Starting form 2022, Korea’s Cinema CGV started to have collaborations with Pokémon to release blind box pins. On December 10th, 2022, the first collab was released. This release included 18 blind box pins and a 3 pin set.  On May 31st, 2023, they released their second collab. This release also included 18 blind box pins. On January 23rd, 2024, the thrid collab was released. This release included 14 blind box pins.

Up until now, there are 50 different pins released. For each release, there are always several pins that have glittered designs. The blind box pins were all sold at 10,000 won and the first collab pin set was sold at 25,000 won.

6. Pokémon x ADLV (2023)

On May 4th, 2023, Korean clothing brand ADLV (Acme de la vie) released a collaboration with Pokémon. The collaboration included a series of t-shirts, sweaters and hats. All the products will include a Pokédex shaped tag and a Pokéball Pin.

7. Pokémon the Orchestra (2023-2024)

2023 — Pocket Monster DP Dialga Palkia Badge Set

On January 28th and 29th, 2023, Pokémon the Orchestra performed at National Theater of Korea in Seoul. People who attend the concert have the chance to purchase the speical pin box set “Pocket Monster DP Dialga Palkia Badge Set”. The set includes a black box with 8 gym badges of the Sinnoh League. The set was sold at 75,000 Won.

2024 — Pokémon the Orchestra Limited Badge Frame

On September 21st and 22nd, 2024, people who attend the concert with VIP tickets can have the chance to pre-order the exclusive limited pin frame set. The set can then be picked up in person on the day of the concert. Only 300 sets were released. VIP tickets were sold at 110,000 Won and the set was sold at 200,000 Won. (read detailed post).

8. Pokémon x Isaac Toast (2024)

In 2024, Pokémon paired up with Korean franchise “Isaac Toast (이삭토스트)” and released a series of collaborations. During the event period, customers can purchase the special collab combo to receive a blind bag with one of the Pokémon pins. The blind bags can also be directly purchased for 5,500 won each. 

Part 1 — Released June 10th, 2024 with 15 blind bag pins. At the end of the event, those who purchased in store will have a chance to enter in a prize draw and 30 winners will be chosen to receieve coupons and a special box that can house all 15 pins.

Part 2 — Released November 18th, 2024 with 18 blind bag pins. There are 15 regular pins and 3 secret pins. (No official image of all 18 pins have been released as of now)
